What we ask for in an application

By Arjun Mehta

A clear problem, evidence you understand it, and a plan for the first hire. No pitch decks required.

We do not ask for a forty-slide deck. We ask for a clear articulation of the problem, proof you understand it, and a realistic plan for the first ninety days.

Strong applications include customer evidence — interviews, usage data, a prototype, even a detailed workflow map. We want to see that you have done the work before asking the studio to co-build with you.

Tell us who you would hire first and why. Tell us what v1 looks like, not what v3 might become. If you have domain expertise and a product you are ready to ship, that is enough to start the conversation.
